Wikipedia defines color blindness as the decreased ability to see colour or differences in colour. Data says that every 1 in 12 men (8%) and 1 in 200 women in the world have this colour vision deficiency and while it is genetic for a vast majority, other reasons may involve diabetes, aging, multiple sclerosis among others.
But it’s not that they can’t see the world clearly. They are just unable to fully ‘see’ red, green or blue light.
Like while a person with normal vision will see nine in the picture below, people who cannot distinguish shades of red or green, will see a five.
That’s not all! Most people don’t even realise that they are colour blind until they get the proper diagnosis done.
