This Man Had Free Meals At An International Airport For Over A Year. Here’s The Trick He Used.

In a bizarre case reported a couple of years back, a man in China bought a first-class plane ticket, re-booked it 300 times and used it to have free meals at the Xi’an International Airport, Shaanxi, China. The man did it almost every single day and never had to spend a single penny!

Reportedly, the man had purchased a fully refundable first-class ticket aboard Eastern China Airline and used to get it transferred to a different date every day. He simply used to flash his ticket to the lounge staff, ate a meal just like any first class traveler and instead of getting on the flight, would get his flight’s departure changed to another day.

The man used to come the next day with the newly-issued ticket, have the meal and the  rebook it to another date again. As per reports, he did this over and over again.

The employees said that since they encountered over tens of thousand passengers every day, they could never identify the pattern this man was following.

However, the issue was brought to Western China Airlines officials’ notice only when they saw one same ticket getting rebooked over 300 times but also knew that they could do nothing to stop him from doing the “rare” act. Legally, the man wasn’t doing anything wrong. It was just a loophole that he had figured out.

The Eastern China Airlines officials still decided to confront him which made him stop chowing down at the airport for free, reported nypost.

But again, the genius man didn’t show any sign of nervousness. He simply went ahead, canceled his ticket and walked away with all his cash in return.

If only we’d think like the Chinese.
