Salman Khan Is No More The Brand Ambassador Of Thums Up! This Has Happened Due To…

Salman Khan is a BIG NAME and every brand wishes to have him as its ambassador! Even if you are running a small business, you might be having that dream of getting your brand endorsed by Sallu Bhai someday, isn’t it? However, things seem to be exactly the opposite for ‘Coca-Cola’, the famous beverage brand since decades.
Salman has been the brand ambassador for the Coca-Cola’s product ‘Thums Up’ since 4 years, but now the company doesn’t want to be associated with him anymore; shocking but true!
Want to know the reason for it? Well, it is due to Bigg Boss 10, the controversial reality show which Salman is hosting.

Well, Salman’s contract with ‘Coca-Cola’ expired a month ago, but they both didn’t renew it. There were already many rumors about this; some felt that it was because of Salman’s controversial statements about the ban on Pakistani actors, while some felt that the company is looking for a replacement. However, Salman Khan and Coca-Cola cleared air by releasing a joint statement. The actual reason is that the Sultan actor has already given his commitment to the reality show, which is sponsored by Coca-Cola’s rival, Appy Fizz. The statement read;
There have been some media reports this evening that discusses the contractual agreements between brand Thums Up and Salman Khan. In light of the media interest and numerous inquiries that both parties have received, we find it prudent to clarify that:

1. Salman Khan was committed to an existing relationship with a daily TV show, which this year happens to be sponsored by a brand that competes with the Coca-Cola India product portfolio
2. In light of this, both parties have mutually decided not to renew their current contract.

We do not have any further information to provide at this point. We appreciate your interest and outreach

As per media reports, it is being said that the company is in talks with Ranveer Singh for the endorsement. This was an important decision for Coca-Cola, since Appy Fizz (Sponsorer of Bigg Boss) belongs to Parle Agro and apart from this, it also competes with Thums Up in the beverage market.
